Soy de Puerto Rico y he estado aquí en Nueva Orleans desde 1978 cuando llegué con mis padres.

Tres palabras que describen mi personalidad son, aventurera, apasionada y creativa.

Crear arte es mi manera de escapar y de expresar mis sentimientos y emociones sin la necesidad de usar palabras.

Realmente que siempre he pintado, pero pintar para otras personas no empezé hasta hace 10 años atrás.

Mi inspiración viene de muchas formas, pero para mi la mayoría de las veces, es una emoción o sentimiento que llega a resultado de algo ocurrido ó experimentado, sea positivo ó negative, que me hace pintar.

Mi cita favorita es de Diego Marchi. “En la vida todos tenemos un secreto inconfesable, un arrepentimiento irreversible, un sueño inalcanzable y un amor inolvidable.”

Get to Know… Jaqueline Gonzalez Cerise

I’m originally from Puerto Rico and have been here since 1978, when I arrived with my parents.

Three words that describe my personality are adventuresome, passionate and creative.

Creating art is my way of escaping and expressing my feelings and thoughts, without the use of words.

I’ve always painted even as a child but I didn’t begin to paint for others until 10 years ago.

Inspiration comes in many ways, although for me it is more of an emotion as a result of an occurrence, whether positive or negative, which prompts me to paint.

My favorite quote is by Diego Marchi. “In life, we all have an unspeakable secret, an irreversible regret, an unreachable dream and an unforgettable love.”
